At the hospital for a fairly routine post-transplant procedure for Michael (i.e. nothing to worry about), and “Inside Edition” is on the TV in the waiting room.
It’s infuriating to me that people think this is news. It’s sensationalism. News panic porn. About three paces away from being a Girls Gone Wild commercial.
(Ominous music playing) NEXT: ARE ALL THOSE CANNED GOODS YOU BOUGHT DURING THE PANDEMIC STILL GOOD?
It’s also infuriating the way the hosts yell everything to fake actual enthusiasm and then over enunciate ev-er-y syl-la-ble. Almost like they’re intentionally speaking louder so hearing aids at home can pick them up better.
Know your audience, I guess.
God, I wish they’d turn off this garbage. Turn on Press Your Luck or something. That’s still a thing, right? Big bucks! Big bucks! No Whammies! Stop!
